Ronda Lou Cowans, 49, Decatur, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, on U.S. 27, north of Decatur, after being fatally injured in an automobile accident.
She was born Wednesday, April 28, 1965, in Bluffton, the daughter of Ronnie L. Swygart and the late Betty L. (Kitchen) Swygart. She married Tyler Cowans Dec. 31, 1994, in Decatur; he survives.
Dolores R. Kelley, 69, Decatur, passed away at 10:22 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born Monday, June 11, 1945, in Fort Wayne, to the late Charles and Lillian (Vent) Kelley.
Dolores was a member of Faith Chapel in Decatur. She was a homemaker and was also employed at the former Lakeside Nursing Home, Ideal Realty and Alma Plastics in Decatur.
Stephen Joseph Sutton, 73, Berne, passed away at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born March 18, 1941, in Decatur, to the late Jesse Cary and Margaret Regina Sutton.
He married the late Nanna Lee Aurand on Friday, Jan. 4, 1963, in Indianapolis.
Esther P. Young, 88, Bryant, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2014, at Chalet Village in Berne.
She was born Sunday, Oct. 18, 1925, in Adams County, the daughter of the late Herbert and Ethel (Evans) Dailey.
She married her husband of 69 years, Harold Young, Oct. 30, 1944; he survives.
Esther was a former member of the Women of the Moose in Portland. She loved to do anything outdoors.
She retired in 1988 from CTS in Berne with 22 years of service.
Terry G. Hike II, 46, Fort Wayne, formerly of Decatur, passed away Sunday, July 27, 2014, at his mother’s residence in Bluffton.
He was born Oct. 3, 1967, to Terry G. and Mary J. (Dyer) Hike.
Terry was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and was a 1986 graduate of Bellmont High School. He worked as a medical dialysis consultant. He was also a manager for Ammolite Jewels in St. Thomas of the U.S. Virgin Islands and in Skagway, Alaska.

Amos E. Miller, Jr., 75, Bluffton, passed away at 2:08 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2104, at River Terrace Estates.
He was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Bluffton to the late Amos E. and Olive L. Miller, Sr.
Amos worked at Fleetwood Industries, Decatur, from 1974-2009, retiring with 35 years of service. He was an avid gun collector, outdoorsman and hunter.
He graduated from Petroleum High School. Amos was a member of Petroleum Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge.
Betty J. (White) Roberts, 92, Decatur, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born July 12, 1922, in Decatur, to the late Homer L. and Nellie Ethyln (Myers) White.
She married Rev. Charles Ellsworth Roberts in 1947, and they pastored and travelled doing evangelism until returning to Decatur in 1954; he passed away in 1969.
Grover W. Heckert, 58, Monroe, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2014.
He was born Friday, Nov. 11, 1955, the son of the late James and Lillian (Lintemoot) Heckert.
Grover married Nancy M. Tinkham Brown June 7, 1987, in Monroe; she survives.
James E. “Barney” Schultz, 67, Decatur, died Friday, July 18, 2014, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
Jim was born Oct. 3, 1946, in Decatur, to the late Leo F. and Cordelia (Worthman) Schultz.
He married his wife of 45 years, Bonnie Jean Girard, Oct. 19, 1968; she survives.
