David Eugene Dailey, 77, of Berne, passed away at 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013, at Chalet Village in Berne.
David was born on Tuesday, February 4, 1936, in Willshire, Ohio, to the late Stanton R. and Margaret (Brandt) Dailey. He was a lifelong farmer.
Among survivors are three sisters, Alma Kable and Katherine Blair, both of Fort Wayne, and Margorie Dodane of Kingman, Ariz.; and a brother, Charles (Ilene) Dailey of Berne.

Dorothy L. Brandenburg, 91, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center Extended Care Unit.
She was born on Thursday, May 5, 1921, in Detroit, Mich., to the late Harlan E. Williams and the late Lillie May (Sprayberry) Mitchell.
She married William G. Brandenburg on May 30, 1946, in Mount Clemens, Mich.; he passed away October 4, 1999.
Evelyn (Christener) Espich, 92, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
She was born on Tuesday, July 27, 1920, in Monroe to the late Harvey and Nellie Marie (Worden) Bovine.
Evelyn married John Christener, Jr., on October 13, 1936, in the Monroe Friends Parish; he passed away December 19, 1974.
Lyncoln Ann Hess, 7 weeks years old, of Decatur, passed away suddenly at 7:15 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013.
Lyncoln was born on Thursday, February 21, 2013, in Fort Wayne, to Jesse Hess and Alicia Hirschy, both of whom survive.
Lyncoln was a member of Zion Lutheran Church-Decatur, along with her parents. Her father works at Selking International and her mother works at Fairway Deli Marathon.
Lorena Hockemeyer, 91, of Decatur, passed away at 2:14 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Lorena was born on Thursday, May 19, 1921, in Allen County, to the late Fred C. and Emelia (Melcher) Hockemeyer.
Lorena was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur and was a former member at St. John Lutheran Church-Flatrock, rural Monroeville.
Lorena worked as a nurse's aide for 23 years at Adams Memorial Hospital.
Donald Gibson "Don" Moore, 87, Berne, died April 11, at Swiss Village in Berne.
Among survivors are a son, John B. (Linda) Moore of rural Portland, and a daughter, Genette Kay Moore of Decatur.
Visitation was held in Swiss Village Auditorium on Sunday, and the funeral was at 10 a.m. today, also at the auditorium. Burial was in M.R.E. Cemetery, with full military rites by the Berne American Legion Post 468.
Arrangements were by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home.
Janet K. Tharp, 67, of Decatur, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital.
Janet was born December 28, 1945, in Decatur, to the late John E. and Nola Faye (Mauller) Meyer.
On November 16, 1964, she married William J. Tharp, Sr.; he survives in Decatur.
Janet was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and also worked for Dolco for 10 years and Duo Marine for two years.

James H. Hitner, 54, of Decatur, died Wednesday at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Among survivors are his wife, Paula Hitner of Decatur; three daughters, Shelley (Mike) Campbell of Fort Wayne, Christina (Don) White, and Becky Eyanson, both of Decatur; three sons, Dan Hitner of Chicago, Ill., Jim Hitner, and Nick Hitner, both of Ohio; stepson, Alex Cox of Fort Wayne; two ste-daughters, Lauren Cox and Mallory (Red) Relyea, both of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Patricia Ann "Pat" Lahr, 68, of Warren, Ind., passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
She was born on Wednesday, September 6, 1944, in Marion, to the late Wilford H. Lahr and the late Glendora I. (Wagner) Ross.
