Chad Allan Everett

August 6, 2013

    Chad Allan Everett, 46, of Burlington, Ky., passed away August 3, 2013. Born September 20, 1966, Chad was the youngest son of Shirley and the late Glen Everett of Pleasant Mills.
    While attending Indiana State University in Terre Haute, Chad made a visit to Indiana University in Bloomington, where he met Kelly Mansfield. The couple married on August 24, 1991, and four adored sons soon followed.

Donna F. Rothgeb

    Donna F. (Venis) Rothgeb, 75, of Decatur, died Monday, August 5, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    Donna was born June 15, 1938, in Decatur to the late Alva Raymond and Verona Verdella (McClymonds) Venis.
    Donna was a member of Hope United Methodist Church. Her favorite pastimes were watching for hummingbirds, collecting angels and playing cards with friends.

Ellen L. Butcher

    Ellen L. Butcher, 81, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013.
    Ellen was born November 8, 1931, to the late Charles L. and Dorothy D. (Caves) Herman in Adams County.
    On February 25, 1951 she married Robert L. Butcher; he passed away January 25, 2006.
    Ellen was a lifelong resident of Adams County. She was a homemaker who retired in 1991 from C.T.S. Corporation in Berne, and was a member of the Decatur Church of God.

Alice G. Fullenkamp

    Alice G. Fullenkamp, 94, of Decatur, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at Adams Memorial Hospital.
    Alice was born November 29, 1918, in Adams County to the late Fred E. and Amelia R. (Kohne) Baker.
    On May 5, 1945, she married Ernest B. Fullenkamp; he preceded her in death on July 4, 1975.

Virginia J. Steiner

    Virginia Jane (Sprunger ) Steiner, 92, of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and formerly of Vermilion and Findlay, Ohio, and Decatur, died Thursday in Carlisle following a period of declining health.
    Among survivors are her husband, Matthew Bliss Steiner;and  three sons, Stanley (Joyce) Steiner of Killeen, Texas, Merrill (Carol) Steiner of Newtown Square, Penn., and Wesley (Marilyn) Steiner of Albuquerque, N.M.

Harriet L. Habegger

    Harriet L. Habegger, 77, of Berne, passed away Wednesday morning, July 31, 2013 at Swiss Village after a short illness.
    Harriet was born to the late Oren A. and Nina B. (Hossler) Nicloy on June 20, 1936 in Fort Wayne.
    She married Merlin W. Habegger on April 5, 1969.

Mary Jo Hoffman

    Mary Jo Hoffman, 89, of Decatur, passed away at 5 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Meadowvale Health & Rehabilitation Center in Bluffton.
    Mary Jo was born Sunday, February 10, 1924, in Decatur, to the late Oscar and Mary Josephine (Haite) Hoffman.
    She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Decatur.
    Mary Jo was a school teacher for 34 years, teaching mainly the second grade at Lincoln School, Monmouth Elementary, and Northwest Elementary.

Lenore M. Holtsberry

    Lenore M. (Lytle) Holtsberry, 99 of Decatur, passed away at 2:19 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    Lenore was born Thursday, June 18, 1914 in Alger, Ohio, to the late Oscar and Ruth I. (Conner) Teeple.
    Her first husband, Harold D. Lytle, passed away on May 22, 1946. She married William H. Holtsberry on December 31, 1970; he passed away on December 11, 1996.

Robert Petruska

    A prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Poland Chapel, 2726 Center Rd. Poland, Ohio 44514, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Holy Family Church also in Poland for Mr. Robert M. Petruska, 73, who died Tuesday morning at his residence in Poland. Burial will follow Saturday after Mass in Calvary Cemetery in Youngstown.
    He was born July 29, 1940, in Struthers, a son of Michael J. and Mary Pavlansky Petruska.
