Donald William Arnold, 92, of Florence, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Florence.
He was the retired Owner of Arnold Tire Co. of Erlanger and he worked for many years for Goodyear Tire Company as well as Goodrich Tire Company. He was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of WW II, with the rank of Tech Sgt.; a member of Hebron Lutheran Church; a Kentucky Colonel; and he enjoyed fishing in his spare time.
Betty M. Butler, 88, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2012, at Chalet Village, in Berne.
Betty was born on March 7, 1923, in Scott, Ohio.
She married Robert Butler on November 16, 1940. He preceded her in death on December 18, 2000.
Betty was a member of Grace Fellowship Church and a homemaker.
Scott O. Garrett, 41, Decatur, died on Tuesday in Woodcrest Nursing Center.
He was born to Howard Guntle and Vietta Landers, both of Portland, but was raised by his adopted parents Allen and Roxanne (Wable) Garrett of Alexandria, all of whom survive.
On July 27, 1996, he married Becky S. Rash.
Steven Whittenbarger, 54, of Auburn, formerly of Decatur, died Wednesday in Wesley Healthcare in Auburn.
Arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.

Cowan and Sons Funeral Home of Van Wert has provided additional information for the obituary notice of Charles Edward Dunno.
Among Mr. Dunno's grandchildren were Stephanie (Brian) Quinlan, Indianapolis; Robert Dunno Jr., Fort Wayne; and Samantha and Victor Dunno, Decatur.
Preferred memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Ronald McDonald House.
Scott Garrett, 41, of Decatur, died Tuesday at Woodcrest Retirement Community in Decatur.
Arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home.
Sylvester R. "Vet" Whitenack, 75, Fremont died Monday.
He was a machinist at CTS Corp in Berne for 30 years and later worked for Simon Step Company.
Survivors include his wife (name not given) and daughters, Teresa (Wasa) Sakamoto, Santa Monica, California; Julie Lauletta, Ft. Wayne; and Carol(Jack) Shumaker, LaOtto.
Edna L. Hunt, 78, Berne, died Monday at Chalet Village in Berne.
She was born to Herbert and Eathel (Evans) Dailey.
Survivors include daughters Carolyn (James) Hicks, Berne; Brenda Hunt, Geneva; and Deborah Hunt, Portland; sons, Stanley (Rhonda) Hunt, Willshire, Ohio; Terry Hunt, Geneva; and Robert Hunt, Berne.
Due to incorrect information provided the newspaper, the name of Mrs. Lehman's parents was inadvertently put incorrectly printed in Monday's edition. Mrs. Lehman's parents were Oren and Louise Moser.
It was also stated that Howard Moser was Mrs. Lehman's brother-in-law when in fact Howard was Evangeline's brother.
January 10th
Virginia Nancy Dellinger, 92, of Willshire, Ohio, died Monday in Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born on May 31, 1919, in Adams County to James and Alverda (Dilling) Parrish.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Paul Dellinger, and three sons, Larry D.; Terry S.; and Barry Dellinger.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 3-7 p.m., at Cowan and Sons Funeral Home, Van Wert, with a service immediately following. Burial will be at the Willshire Cemetery.
