September 10th
Patricia A. Rumschlag, 67, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at her residence.
Pat was born in Allen County on November 28, 1944, to Ralph and Doris (Anderson) Gerardot Jr.
She married James M. Rumschlag on July 13, 1963.
A member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Pat had worked as a waitress at West End restaurant for 35 years before retiring on August 1, 2011.

Candido V. Castro Jr., 84, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday.

September 6th
Wilma "Jean" Grote, 76, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, in the Adams Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
She was born on Saturday, November 9, 1935, in Allen County, to the late Paul E. and Mabel M. (McBride) Reppert.
On February 14, 1998, she married Gerald Grote; he survives in Decatur.
Jane M. Summersett, 88, of Berne, died Tuesday at Swiss Village.
Among survivors are a son, Kip (Linda) Summersett of Berne; and a daughter, Libby (Neil) Stroble of Hartford City.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, with visitation from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will be in Springhill Cemetery, rural Berne.
September 5th
Dennis C. Boerger, 62, of Decatur, passed away unexpectedly and from natural causes on Monday, September 3, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Wednesday, September 21, 1949, in Decatur, to the late Herbert A. Boerger and LaVerne M. (Busick) Boerger.
Dennis was in the last graduating class of Monmouth High School in 1967. He received a bachelor's degree in computer science from Ball State University in 1971.
Jane M. Summerset, 88, died Tuesday at Swiss Village.

September 4th
Harold J. Bailey , 50, of Geneva, died on Saturday at Parkview Regional Medical Center as a result of injuries suffered in an auto accident.
Among survivors are a son, Joseph W. Bailey, and a daughter, Emiley A. Bailey both of Bryant.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home on Tuesday and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Dennis C. Boerger, 62, of Decatur died Sunday at his residence.
Arrangements are pending at the Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home.
David S. Gravens, 56, of Decatur, died Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
Private services will be held.

O. Kathleen (Zerkel) Sauers, 84, of Decatur, passed away on August 31, 2012, in Fort Wayne.
She was born to the late Oliver K. and Marie (Burdg) Zerkel on March 27, 1928, in Decatur.
Kate married Wayne E. Sauers on May 18, 1947; he survives.
She was a member of the Living Water Church, where she was very active as a Sunday School teacher, youth leader, and served on various committees.
