    Pauline Rose Via, 94, of Portland, died Saturday in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare. 
    She was born in Salamonia on December 10, 1917, to the late Jesse and Cora (May) Locker. 
    Surviving are two sons, Danny Via (Janice) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Dennis Via of Decatur; and one daughter, Linda (Bill) Zimmerman of Portland.

    Rosa L. Wengerd, 62, of Bryant, died on Saturday at Lutheran Hospital.    
    She was born on Tuesday, September 20, 1949, in Adams County.

    Ruth Mae (McClure) Rupp, 94, a resident of Woodcrest Nursing Center for the past 9 and a half years, passed away on April 20, 2012.
    A memorial service will be held at at 1 p.m. Sunday at Woodcrest in the Porter Auditorium for Ruth Mae (McClure) Rupp, 94, who died April 20. Rev. Floyd Vieth will be officiating.
    Arrangements were by Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.

    Valerie Lynn Gifford-Graber, 60, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 26, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. 
        Valerie’s skills as a certified Bach Flower Remedy Practitioner (BFRP), Certified Drug and Alcohol Practitioner (CAADAC, ACA), and Wellness Consultant transformed the lives of the multitudes she served.
    Valerie was an incomparable life partner, a beautifully gifted counselor, and a magnificent, inspirational healer.

    Marjorie M. McElroy, 82, Monroe, died Tuesday at Adams Memorial Hospital.    She was born on May 14, 1929, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to William H. and Iva B. (Uncapher) Walser and married on June 1, 1947, to Robert E. McElroy.

    Richard D. Hott, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012, at his residence, following an extended illness.
    Richard graduated from Decatur High School in 1950 and Evansville College in 1955.
    He served 35 years for the federal government as an electronic engineer at the Naval Ordinance Lab in White Oak, Maryland,
