Dorothy E. Poling, 67, of Decatur, passed away at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012, in the Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Dorothy was born on Wednesday, March 8, 1944, in Van Wert County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Harold and Pauline (Foster) Hurless.
Dorothy was a member of Cornerstone Community Church in Decatur and had worked at the Decatur Daily Democrat prior to a motorcycle accident in 1975.

Rev. Fr. Lawrence Heiman, C.PP.S., 94, of St Charles Center in Carthagena, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2012. Fr. Larry was born on August 24, 1917, in Decatur, to the late John and Anna Heimann.
He was a member of the order of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood and was a Dr. of Music and Art at St. Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind.

Ethan William “Cowboy” Enyart, 22, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away Saturday afternoon at Riverside Hospital, in Columbus,Ohio.
He was a senior accounting major at Ohio State University.
He was born November 19, 1989, in Coldwater, Ohio, and is survived by his parents, Lionel F. (Lisa VanWynsberghe) Enyart of Van Wert; and Keri J. (Lou) Schwaller,of Monroe.
Steven R. Hurst, 60, of New Corydon, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in Ball Memorial Hospital, located in Muncie, following an extended illness.
He was born on Saturday, May 26, 1951, in Adams County, the son of Richard and Ruth (Suman) Hurst.
He married Vickie Yoder on October 24, 1970; she passed away on December 16, 1977.
Steve was a former employee of the Adams County Highway Department and the Berne Ready Mix.
Lester E. Manley, 77, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2012, in St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on Thursday, July 5, 1934, in Adams County, the son of the late Chauncey O. and Mary M. (Julian) Manley. He married Audrey E. Gephart on October 9, 1955, in Adams County.
Lester was a 1953 graduate of Pleasant MIlls High School and he attended Pleasant Mills United Methodist Church.
Mary Maxine (Speakman) Nine, 82, of Fort Wayne, died Friday.
Among survivors are her sister, Jean Goldner, of Decatur.
Services will be at 4 p.m., Monday at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, with visitation starting at 2 p.m. Private burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens.
Frederick “Fred” H. Scheimann, 77 years old, of Simsonvill, S.C. and formerly of Ossian, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at his residence after an extended illness.
Fred was the widower of Nira Shirley Miller Scheimann. Fred was born in Decatur, the son of the late John L. and Margaret J. (Elliott) Scheimann.
Thomas Norton Sefton, 86, of Decatur, passed away at his residence on Saturday, February 25, 2012.
He was born on January 5, 1926, in Anderson, Ind., to the late E. M. “Pete” and Kathleen (Norton) Sefton.
He married Mary E. “Peg” VanHoy on October 29, 1955, and she preceded him in death on January 14, 2010.

Geraldine “Gerry” Claire Smerz Aloisio, 85, died February 2, 2012, in Arlington, VA. Geraldine was born December 30, 1926, in Chicago to the late Robert and Tillie Watrin Smerz. She was married to Gene P. Aloisio, who preceded her in death.
