James “Jim” Kenneth Herndon, 85, of Bluffton, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2012, at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton.
He was born on September 20, 1927, in Huntington County, to Elijah J. and Mary L. (Holmes) Herndon.
On March 26, 1949, he married Rita E. Geis in Decatur; she passed away on February 17, 1966.
Jim then married Miriam J. (Ginter) Sommer in Decatur on March 4, 1967; she passed away on April 29, 1996.
Yvonne "Sue" Jones, 64, of Willshire, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012, at her residence due to natural causes.
Sue was born on Friday, January 23, 1948, in Decatur, to the late Walter and Sally (South) Suman.
She married Greg Jones on October 22, 1983, in Willshire; he survives.
Helen Virginia Kidd, 97, of Decatur, died on Saturday at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Among survivors are her son, William Eugene "Billy" Kidd of Celina, Ohio.
A private family visitation was held at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, and there was no service.
Florence Lorton, 91, of Berne, died Friday at Chalet Village.

LaVera Schroeder, 86, of Decatur, passed away at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012, in Parkview Hospital, Whitley County, located in Columbia City.
She was born in Adams County on Sunday, February 28, 1926, to the late Martin E. and Clara (Wietfeldt) Kiefer.
LaVera married Gerald H. Schroeder on November 18, 1945, in Zion Lutheran Church- Friedheim, in rural Decatur; he passed away on December 7, 1995.
Vella Dawn Wasson, 88, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
She was born on May 2, 1924, in Mars Hill, Maine, to the late Fred Alden and Hazel I. (Shaw) Sylvester.
On May 25, 1996, she married Richard L. Wasson; he survives in Decatur.
