October 26th
Betty J. Lengerich, 72, of Monroe, died Thursday evening at Adams Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home in Decatur.
October 25th
Donald L. Bollenbacher, 85, of Decatur, passed into the arms of his Lord while in the love and care of his family at his home on Tuesday night, October 23, 2012.
He was born at home in Jefferson Township on August 28, 1927, to the late Edward and Nora (Morningstar) Bollenbacher.
He was married to Evelyn Louise Ketrow, who passed away on June 14, 1987. He then married Janice (Foster) Bowen on July 16, 1988.
October 24th
Donald L. Bollenbacher, 85, of Decatur died Tuesday at his residence.

Dale E. Hoffman, 94, of Elkhart, passed away of natural causes at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 20, 2012, at Hubbard Hill Estates, in Elkhart.
He was born in Decatur on December 22, 1917, to the late Otto and Verna (Owens) Hoffman.
Michael J. Lehman, 73, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Berne, passed away Monday, October 22, 2012, at Parkview North.
Among survivors are his daughter, Pamela (George) Pulliam of Cumming, Ga.; two sons, Carl Lehman of Fort Wayne and Bruce (Tina) Lehman of Woodburn.
Visitation will be from 3-7 p.m. on Friday at the Maplecrest Mennonite Church, Fort Wayne. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the First Mennonite Church Chapel, Berne, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
Melvin Scott Rynearson, 75, of Decatur, passed away October 19, 2012, at his residence.
He was born April 10, 1937, in Auburn to the late Ronald and Irene (Wallace) Rynearson.
Melvin worked for Central Soya in Decatur for 28 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the American Legion Post 0207 of Willshire, OH, Eagles Lodge of Decatur and the Moose Lodge in Decatur.
October 23rd
Enos Bontrager, 62, of Berne, died Monday at his residence.
Visitation will be from 2- 4 and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 State Road 4, Goshen. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, also at the church.
Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.
Arrangements were handled by Miller-Stewert Funeral Home.
October 22nd
Mildred L. Brinneman, 94, of Berne, died Saturday at Swiss Village.
Among survivors are a daughter, Kathryn (Jerry) Powers of Warren, and a son, Lorin (Frances) Brinneman of Berne.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Swiss Village Chapel, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the service. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery, Wells County.
Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
October 19th
Louis A. Wolpert, 91, of Decatur, died Friday, October 19, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
He was born in Adams County on December 13, 1920, to the late Joseph L. and Veronica E. (Sheeter) Wolpert.
On April 17, 1948, he married Vera C. Lengerich; she preceded him in death on November 30, 2006.
Ralph E. Smith Jr., 81, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at a hospital in Texas.
He was born in Paoli, Ind., on April 21, 1931, to the late Ralph E. Smith Sr. and Charlotte F. Smith.
Ralph married Nella R. (Potter) Smith on June 13, 1953; she died on October 28, 2007.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Adams County Board of Elections. Ralph retired from E & L Transport.
