Charles S. DeKoninck, 76, of Monroeville, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday at The Village of Heritage nursing home.
He married Shirley A. Sorg on August 31, 1957, in St. Joseph Catholic Church at Hessen Cassel; she passed away on September 14, 2001.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Hessen Cassel, a lifelong farmer (including dairy cattle), and the previous co-owner of Sunshine Florist in Decatur for 23 years (1981 to 2004).
Dale R. Workinger, 76, of Berne, formerly of Monroe, died on Wednesday at Swiss Village Retirement Community.
He was born on November 26, 1934, in Adams County to Glenn and Mary Wechter Workinger.
Surviving are a brother, Charles E. Workinger of Monroe, and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday at 7 p.m. in Swiss Village, with calling from 5-7 p.m. Burial will be in Ray Cemetery, rural Monroe.
