Edna Shoaf, 94, of Salt Lake City, Utah, a former resident of Berne, died on Tuesday.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
Marion E Sipe, 80, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Woodcrest Retirement Community's Nursing Center.
He was born on September 29, 1930, in Adams County to Daniel J. and Bernice (Fisher) Sipe.
On October 30, 1954, he married Barbara A. Jacobs. She preceded him on November 2, 2000.

Larry W. Moore, 60, of Decatur, died at home on Monday.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
July 11th
Esther C. Friar, 91, formerly of Willshire, Ohio, died on Friday in Van Wert In-Patient Hospice Center at Van Wert, Ohio.
She was born in Adams County on August 17, 1919 to Oscar and Amanda Baumgartner Steiner.
Among survivors are three daughters: Mrs. Leon (Rita) Byer of Willshire; Anne Schoeff of Greenville, Ohio; and Kaye Hartman of Van Buren, Indiana; one stepson, Jeffrey Friar of Hartford City, Indiana; and one stepdaughter, Cheryl Powell of Montpelier, Indiana.
Calvin W. Toney, 77, of Decatur, died Friday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community.
He was born in Alabama to Albert E. and Myrtle M. Stover Toney.
Among survivors are three brothers; five sisters, including Linda Adams of Decatur; and many nieces and nephews, including Tim Adams of Decatur and Kerry Adams of Willshire, Ohio.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Aurora Cemetery of Etowah County, Alabama.
July 8th
Keith D. Bickel, 68, of rural Portland, died on Tuesday at home.
He was born in Jay County to Marvin and Elsie Worth Bickel.
He married Elaine Corwin Fields on October 16, 2004; she survives. His first wife, the former Joyce A. Lanning, whom he married on June 2, 1963, died on January 7, 1999.
He was a farmer and also worked for Price Implement in Portland and Franklin Electric in Bluffton.
July 5th
Margaret B. Beitler, 92, of Berne, died Friday at Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born to Martin L. Luginbill and Linda Luginbill.
Among survivors are her husband, Richard Beitler; two daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Ellen) King of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Mrs. Bryce (Carolyn) Hoffman of Monroe; and four sons, Paul Beitler of Bluffton; Samuel Beitler of Evansville; and Ryan and Ted Beitler of Berne.
Jana D. Burry, 61, of Fort Wayne, a former resident of Berne, died Friday in Parkview Hospital at Fort Wayne.
She was born in Decatur on April 13, 1950, to Evan H. and Helen Patterson Brunner, who live in Berne.
Other survivors are a son, Jason Burry of Bluffton, and a sister, Pamela Heiman of Findlay, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, with burial in MRE Cemetery, rural Berne. Visiting hours are 5-8 p.m. today.
Erline M. Girard, 86, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born on April, 9, 1925 in Effingham, South Carolina, to Francis C. and Ethel M. (Cain) Freeman.
She married Adrian J. Girard Jr. on September 14, 1945; he passed away on January 18, 2004.
James W. Lough, 86, of Decatur, died on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
James was born in Adams County on July 9, 1924, to Frank and Cora (White) Lough.
On October 16, 1948, he married Mary J. Garner.
James worked as a tool and die maker for Gilpin's Ironworks in Decatur.
He also served his country in the South Pacific during World War II with the United States Marines.
