Susan J. Schwartz, 41, of rural Geneva, died Monday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
She was born in Adams County on January 6, 1970, to Menno M. and Barbara A. Eicher Schwartz. Her father is deceased; her mother lives in rural Geneva.
June 28th
John E. Gillig, 81, of St. Anne Home in Fort Wayne, formerly of Decatur, passed away on Monday, June 27, 2011, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born in Decatur on June 29, 1929, to Leo T. and Florence L. (Kohne) Gillig.
June 27th
Siera Bracamonte, 63, passed away on June 12, 2011.
Siera was born on January 2, 1948, in Indiana. She was one of four children born to the late Robert and Rosemary Bennett and was the beloved wife of Alfonso Bracamonte for more than 34 years.
Siera was the proud mother of Nicholas Bracamonte (and wife Alegra), devoted stepmother to Yolanda Bracamonte and Lenny Bracamonte (and wife Jamelle), and grandmother of Liselle, Aidan, Mikael, and Roman.
Ralph E. Jackson, 81, of Decatur, died at 5:16 p.m. Thursday in Englewood Nursing Home at Fort Wayne.
He was born to Rolla R. and Oda Gay Jackson.
He retired in 1969 from General Electric Corp. after 40 years of service and was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-53.
Eulogia "Logie" Adalpe Serna, 78, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Woodcrest Retirement Community's Nursing Center in Decatur.
Logie was born on March 11, 1933, in Pearsall Texas.
She was married to Jesus Zavala Serna for 64 years, wedded on May 13, 1947, in Crystal City Texas.
Logie was a homemaker and was very involved in the community. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Decatur and its Mothers' Study Club.
Herbert J. Pearson, 80, of Decatur, died at 8:10 p.m. Thursday at his residence. He was born on November 12, 1930, on Huntington to Edward Cary and Ruby Josephine Bailey Pearson.
He married Jeannine L. Simon Wright on August 4, 1989, in Fort Wayne and she survives.
Herbert retired from the Erie Railroad with 35 years of service as a signalman. He was a member of American Legion Post 43 in Decatur and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6751 in Geneva.

Ralph E. Jackson, 81, of Decatur, died Thursday in Englewood Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fort Wayne.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Zwick and Jahn Funeral Home, Decatur.
June 23rd
Louneta Bixler, 90, formerly of Monroe, died Tuesday at Woodcrest Retirement Community in Decatur.
She was born on October 25, 1920, in Adams County to Osia and Mathilda "Tillie" Von Gunten.
Among survivors are two sons, Sheldon Bixler of Fort Wayne and Von Bixler of Decatur, and one daughter. Mrs. Rick (Raelene) Hirschy of Monroe.
Martha V. Eicher, 102, of Berne, a member of the chorus for "Messiah" performances at First Mennonite Church in Berne for more than 65 years, died on Wednesday in Swiss Village Retirement Community.
She was born in Adams County on April 21, 1909, to Emil and Pauline Leichty Eicher.
Among survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Walter G. (Helen) Fox of Berne and Mrs. Syril (Mary) Bruns of Alexandria.

Lounita Bixler, 91, formerly of Berne, died today at Woodcrest Retirement Community in Decatur. Funeral arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
