Lounita Bixler, 91, formerly of Berne, died today at Woodcrest Retirement Community in Decatur. Funeral arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
Martha V. Eicher, 102, of Berne, died today at Swiss Village Retirement Community. Funeral arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
Chalmer W. Reinking, 71, of Steilacoom, Washington, died on Friday, June 10, at his home.
He was born on November 11, 1939, near Preble to Louis and Esther Merkle Reinking, who are deceased.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; two daughters, Kari and Dana; a granddaughter, Michelle; and a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Joan) Roop of Decatur.
One sister, Leota Braun, and one brother, Louis Reinking, are deceased.
Betty A. Rice, 74, of Decatur, died Tuesday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born to James I. and Della McGill Wilson.
Among survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Pat (Madella A. "Ellie") Baker of New Corydon, and aa son, Donald E. Geiger of Port Charlotte, Florida.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, with visiting hours from 1-5 p.m. Thursday.
Helen "Jeane" Swisher, 63, formerly of Bluffton, died Monday in Ossian Health Care and Rehabilitation.
She was born to Paul T. and Kathryn Kohls Heller.
Among survivors are two sons, Doug Swisher of Decatur and Rob Swisher of Bluffton; a brother; and two sisters, Janelee Yoquelet of Decatur and Paula Heller of Bluffton.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in Goodwin Memorial Chapel at Bluffton, with visitation from 10 a.m.-3 p.m.
