LaVerne L. Hilty, 60, of rural Berne, died on Sunday at Adams Memorial Hospital, Decatur.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne.
Carol J. Schwan 95, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday November 19, 2011, at Woodcrest Nursing Home.
She was born on February 28, 1916, to Charles and Nida Belle (Wright) Seybold.
On October 16, 1937, she married Lionel Schwan; he passed away on January 26, 1989.
Carol was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Decatur.
She was a teacher in Fort Wayne Community Schools, with a master's degree in education from Indiana University.
Daniel S. Schwartz, 35, of rural Geneva, died at his residence on Friday, November 18, 2011.
Daniel was born on March 23, 1976, in Adams County to Dan U. and Rosie K. Schwartz Schwartz, who live in rural Geneva.
Daniel was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Kerry R. Smith, 59, of Poe, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday at his residence.
Kerry has been an inspiration to many for having been an 18-year survivor with brain cancer.
He was born on June 2, 1952, in Fort Wayne to Ross W. Smith and Doris J. Elzey Smith. His father is deceased; his mother, now Doris Schlaudraff, lives in Hoagland.
He married Karla Myers on April 11, 1980, in Poe United Methodist Church and she also survives.
November 18th
Robert W. Cook, 95, of Decatur, died peacefully at Swiss Village in Berne on November 17, 2011.
He will be remembered as a thinker, tinkerer, inventor, and businessman.
Bob was born in Osgood. Indiana, and moved to Adams County when he was six years old. He was the fifth of six children of Adolph and Dora Cook.
Anita L. Sovine, 89, a former longtime resident of Pleasant Mills, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community, her residence the past three and one-half years.
She was born on January 18, 1922, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to Walter G. and Daisy P. August Stetler.
She married Luther A. "Buzz" Sovine on July 26, 1941 in Purvis, Mississippi. He passed away on November 2, 1991.
Howard O. Wolf, 75, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, November 17, 2011, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Howard was born on May 23, 1936, in Fort Wayne to Otto and Velma (Bevelhymer) Wolf.
He married Carol A. Welty on December 14, 1963. She preceded him in death on February 11, 2001.
Howard was a member of Plymouth Congregational Church in Fort Wayne.
He retired in 1997 from Navistar.

Walter H. Biedermann, 80, of Palm Coast, Florida, a former Decatur resident, died November 11 at home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard-Sefton and Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur.
Crystal M. Masterson, 83, formerly of Bluffton, died Wednesday in Ossian Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born to Leander and Mary E. McCullier Tuttle.
Among survivors are a son, Keith Masterson of Bluffton, and three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Paula) Deininger of Bluffton, Mrs. Stephen (Joyce) Johnson of Berne, and Mrs. William (Vickie) Osborn of Bluffton.
