Rev. Elbert A. Smith Jr., 87, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Kingston Care Center in Fort Wayne.
Born in Riverhead, New York, Elbert was a pastor with First Presbyterian Church in Fort Wayne for 13 years and retired in 1997. He was also a teacher at Bellmont High School for 17 years.
He was an alumnus of Centre College in Danville, Kentucky, and of Louisville Presbyterian Seminary, where he received his master's degree.
Charles D.A. “Chuck” Kruger, 68, of Decatur, passed away at 5:17 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2010, in Adams Memorial Hospital.
He was born on April 1, 1942, to Clarence and Opal (Summers) Kruger in Fort Wayne. They are deceased.
He married Judi Myers on March 1, 1984.
Dorothy J. Pollock, 77, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Adams Memorial Hospital.
Dorothy was born on August 1, 1933, to Logan R. and Pearl A. (Strohl) Baer in Van Wert, Ohio.
On June 12, 1954, she married James G. Pollock.

Arthur L. Roop, 77, of Berne, formerly of Bluffton, passed away pm Friday, December 3, 2010, at Chalet Village in Berne.
Arthur was born on July 20, 1933, to Clarence H. and Dorothy (Hakes) Roop in Adams County.
He was a retired truck driver for Keystone Concrete.

Mary A. "Pete" Eady, 55, of Decatur, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born on March 24, 1955, in Adams County to Leo F. and Martha B. (Christen) Faurote, who are deceased.
On April 30, 1983, she married Jeffrey A. Eady.
Mary was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur and the Women of St. Mary's.
She worked as an investigator for the Washington Township Trustee.
December 1st
Mary A. Eady, 55, of Decatur, died Tuesday in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Wayne.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.
November 29th
Elvira W. Fuelling, 95, of Decatur, died at 2:15 a.m. Thursday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
She was born on August 4, 1915, in Allen County to William and Clara Thieme Hockemeyer.
She married Louis H. Fuelling on November 27, 1937, in St. John Lutheran Church (Flatrock) of rural Decatur; he passed away on May 12, 1972.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. John Lutheran Church and its Ladies' Aid organization.
Chloe D. Myers of Berne died Friday in Adams Memorial Hospital, one day before her 87th birthday.
She was born in Adams County on November 27, 1923, to Fred and Ida Smith Kauffman.
Among survivors are her husband, J. Robert Myers, and three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Cheryl) Leistner of Berne, Mrs. Deryll (Carol) Liechty of Berne, and Mrs. Mark (Myra) Moore of Linn Grove.
Clara Louise Scherer, 89, of Hoagland, died at 7:25 a.m. Saturday in Parkview Hospital at Fort Wayne, with her family by her side.
She was born on January 21, 1921, in Fort Wayne to Paul Wadsworth and Louise Bolman Wonderly.
She married Ray Scherer on August 2, 1947, in Trinity English Lutheran Church at Fort Wayne; he is deceased.

Paul E. Cornett, 54, of Decatur, died at 10:21 a.m. Tuesday at his residence.
He was born to Willie and Betsy Mae McQueen Cornett, who are deceased.
