    Dennis R. Welker, 55, of Decatur, died at his residence on October 6, 2010.
    He was born on June 8, 1955, in Huntington to Melvin D. and V. Arlene (Pressler) Welker.
    On July 29, 1987, he married Nancy Wyatt.

    Paul F. "Buzz" Neal, 71, of Geneva, died Wednesday at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
    He was born in Adams County on April 12, 1939, to Waldo D. "Bud" Neal and Bernice P. Biery Neal.
    Among survivors are his wife, Jane; three sons, Mark Neal of Seymour, Tennessee; Tom Neal of Fayetteville, West Virginia; and Jim Neal of Geneva; and three stepsons, Kenneth Noble Jr. of Decatur; Kevin Noble of Eaton; and Waylan Niece of Huntington.

    Funeral arrangements are pending at Haggard and Sefton Funeral Home, Decatur.

    James M. Beer, 47, of Decatur, died Saturday, October 2, in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community.
    He was born in Decatur on October 26, 1962, to Arthur and Corabelle Beer.
    Surviving are his father, who lives in Bluffton; three brothers, Terry and Gary Beer of Bluffton and Lynn Beer of Fort Wayne; and his companion, Kim Wolfe of Decatur.
    Private funeral services have already been held.

Virgil D. Egly

    Virgil D. Egly, 93, of Decatur, died Monday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
    He was born in Adams County on March 25, 1917, to Lewis and Nellie C. Diehl Egly.
    Among survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Randy (Mary) Sparks of Apopka, Florida, and a son, Carl Egly of New Haven.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 12, in Thoma, Rich, Chaney, and Lemler Funeral Home, Bluffton, with burial in St. Luke Cemetery of Adams County.

Erica C. Mattingly

    Erica C. Mattingly, 31, of Decatur, died at her residence on October 4, 2010.
    She was born in Decatur on August 15, 1979, to Lawrence J. Mattingly Jr. and Carla J. (Chew) Mattingly.
    Erica attended St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Decatur.
    She was a former model with Onsite Modeling of Indianapolis.
    She enjoyed helping care for her neighbors and enjoyed crafts and music.

Max M. McCrory

    Max Marshall McCrory, 91, of Montgomery, Michigan, died Monday morning at Country Meadows Adult Foster Care Home.
    He was born on February 11, 1919, in Decatur to Ralph W. and Evelynn Marshall McCrory.
    He married Billie Jean Krick on December 21, 1945, in Fort Wayne; she survives.

Thomas L. Johnson

    Thomas L. Johnson, 61, of Bluffton, died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Wayne.
    He was born on December 11, 1948, in Wells County to Eugene L. and Helen I. Diehl Johnson.
    He married Carolyn "Sue" Betz on June 23, 1984, in Bluffton; she survives.
    He worked 28 years for Fleetwood Enterprises at a motor home plant in Decatur.

Fuhrman P. Miller

    Rev. Fuhrman P. Miller, 91, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2010, at Woodcrest Retirement Community's Nursing Center in Decatur.
    Born on February 24, 1919, in Celina, Ohio, to Clarence and Beulah (Fuhrman) Miller, he married Audra E. Coats on March 24, 1946 in Celina. She survives.

    Kenneth E. "Kenny" Arnold, 90, of Geneva, died Thursday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
    He was born in Geneva on July 29, 1920, to Herbert and Janie Irwin Arnold.
    Among survivors are his second wife, Kay; two sons, Jerry Arnold of Bryant and Norman Arnold of Peoria, Illinois; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Nancy) Dull of Geneva and Mrs. Sam (Patricia) Skinner of Albany,; one stepson, Rick Fravel of Monroe; and two stepdaughters, Becky Heyerly of Berne and Mrs. Mike (Lisa) Roderick of Rosedale, Indiana.
