Adams County and area residents of all ages, as well as Norwell's Youth for Christ group, packed the Erekson Theater at Bellmont High School Monday night for an evening with Indianapolis Colts player Chandler Harnish and Marine Corporal Josh Bleill, a Colts community spokesperson.
Harnish, 24, and a backup quarterback for the Colts, took the stage and told the story of his journey from Norwell athlete to NFL player, giving all credit to God.
At the county commissioners' weekly meeting on Monday, probation department head Tom Fox presented an agreement with Cedar Bridge, a juvenile detention facility in Muncie, which would hold juvenile defenders for Adams County until the county decides what to do with them.
Indiana's new lieutenant governor, Sue Ellspermann, will be the keynote speaker at this year's annual Lincoln Day dinner held by the Adams County Republican Party.

Former County Auditor Bill Borne was elected on Saturday as the new chairman of the Adams County Republican Party. Borne, a longtime GOP precinct committeeman, bested former county commissioner Steve Baumann in voting among Republican precinct committeemen and vice-committeemen.
Adams County Democrats reorganized on Saturday, with all sitting officers re-elected.
Handed new four-year terms were party chairwoman Barb Engle, vice chairman Mike Snyder, treasurer Judy Affolder and secretary Glenda Inniger.
Engle is a former member of Decatur City Council and previously served as a member of the Indiana General Assembly. Snyder is a union leader at Bunge Corp. and was a candidate last year for a seat in the Indiana House of Representatives.
Funeral services are pending at Haggard & Sefton Funeral Home for Frank Whitacre, longtime Decatur City Council representative who died Sunday morning.
Whitacre, 74, had been active in numerous civic causes as well as St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church.
An appeal by Tyler White, found guilty of murdering his wife, the former Amy Meyer of Berne, has been unanimously denied by the Indiana Court of Appeals.
The former Bluffton man is serving a 70-year sentence in prison after being convicted on October 11, 2011.
In October of 2009, White shot and killed his estranged, pregnant wife in front of their two-year-old son. He was sentenced to 60 years for murder and 10 years for enhancement, having to due with the victim being pregnant.

When Karyle Green steps down as East Allen County Schools (EACS) superintendent today, she will depart with a $200,000 settlement. The agreement was announced on Thursday.
In a surprise announcement earlier this week, the board said Green was stepping down 18 months ahead of her planned departure, officially ending her tenure today.
