Many electronic items were distributed via arm bands or tickets, hours before the sale started. Some ads proved too good to be true and stock was very scarce. Playstation 4, iPads, computers, televisions and Amazon Kindles were the first to go, locally. Hot priced items in the toy department, clothing and home goods drew in masses waiting and hoping to save a few bucks.

Thanksgiving at Southeast

November 29, 2013

Students in the first grade class of Trishia Gose helped celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday by learning about Squanto, who helped the Pilgrims celebrate the first Thanksgiving. They also planted corn, starting with a base “soil” comprised of pudding and Oreo cookie crumbs, digging a hole in the “soil” and adding a gummy fish for fertilizer before planting a seed of candy corn. The photos show Avry Lutes, who seemed to enjoy the story of Squanto.
