An old point of contention between the Adams County Commissioners and the Adams County Council reared its head during discussions between the two entities prior to the start of scheduled budget hearings on Tuesday morning.
When is too much really too much?
That question arose at Tuesday night's city council meeting, spurred by Councilman Matt Dyer, who addressed a photo floating around the council chambers.
The photo showed an enormous pile of trash piled along the sidewalk at a home on Walnut St. for last week's heavy trash pickup.
City Operations Manager Jeremy Gilbert said it cost the city $94 to get rid of the trash at the transfer station.
The United Way of Adams County will hold its annual Community Market Day from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday at locations in Decatur and Berne. Five percent of the sales from Community Markets during that time will be donated to the United Way. Call the agency at 728-2056 to volunteer.
