It was Bellmont High School and Preble Pathfinders night at the Adams County 4-H Fair on Tuesday as Casey Kreuckeberg was annnounced as Royal Ambassador and Paige LeMaster was named Distinguished Ambassador.
Krueckeberg is a recent Bellmont graduate while LeMaster will be a junior there in the upcoming school year. Both are members of the Pathfinders 4-H Club.
The Adams County Commissioners, during their regular weekly meeting on Monday, approved the purchase of an insurance policy that protects the county's financial interest in the covered bridge near Ceylon.
The insurance policy was required as part of a rehabilitation grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).
The commissioners accepted a quote from Star Financial that will provide $400,000 in coverage for the bridge, at an annual cost of $5,000.

During a public hearing held during a recent meeting of the Berne Board of Public Works and Safety it was determined that the structure, owned by Tammi Frisendorf and located at the intersection of Brown and East Van Buren streets, must be razed within 90 days.
