Unusually pleasant December weather drew a large crowd to the Adams County courthouse square Sunday evening for a community Christmas tree-lighting event. Sponsored by Marko’s on 2nd and Classic Crimper Salon, the evening featured food and refreshments and a drawing for prizes. All money collected during the evening was donated to the Operation Help Food Bank and to next year’s tree-lighting event.
