School officials and representatives of police departments from throughout Adams County took part on Wednesday in a table-top exercise at Adams Central Schools designed to discuss security situations at schools.
Among those attending were the resource officers for the three high schools in the county. as well as the superintendents of the three school systems.

Icy roadways have been blamed for a single-vehicle crash in southern Michigan Wednesday morning that left two area men dead and five others with various injuries.
The St. Joseph County Sheriff's office said in a press release issued this morning that at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday a van driven by Kirk Wayne Miller, 30, of Keystone, Indiana, was westbound on Fawn River Road in White Pigeon Township, approximately 30 miles south of Kalamazoo, when Miller lost control and rolled the van into a tree.
Adams County Council held its first meeting of the year on Tuesday.
The first order of business was reorganizing the council; however, the council members seemed to like things the way they were, as Randy Colclasure remains president and Eric Orr continues as vice president.
Council members also made it a point to welcome Tony Mellencamp as their newest member, and Colclasure expressed confidence that Mellencamp would soon get the hang of things.
