On Wednesday, August 1, at approximately 9 a.m., the Decatur Police Department will no longer dispatch calls for service from the police station at 521 N. Third Street, according to an announcement by Chief Ken Ketzler.
A Monroeville man who was convicted of child molestation was arrested this week in Noble County, where he currently lives, after it was discovered he was working at South Adams High School as a volunteer basketball scout, according to court reports.
Paul David Baker, 48, volunteered for the South Adams High School girls basketball team during the summer of 2011 and during the 2011-12 basketball season, which violates the terms of being a registered sexually violent predator, according to a probable cause affidavit.
