The winners may visit the DDD office to claim their prize by Monday, May 21. They will each receive a $10 gift certificate to an Adams County business. If a prize goes unclaimed, another name will be drawn.
Adams Central High School business teacher Sharilyn Boots, accompanied by student Deatra Gremaux, talked to the Adams Central Board of Education this week about a pilot program allowing students to participate in virtual internships.
Boots stated she was contacted by Ryan Twist of the Talent Initiative about establishing a group of students who would take part in the internship program.
At this week's meeting of the North Adams School Board, Superintendent Dr. Wylie Sirk brought the board up to speed on the reorganization process of the Adams-Wells Special Services Cooperative program.
The group, which involves three school districts in both Adams and Wells Counties, will all be affected by several resolutions (which will need to be passed by all six school boards to be effective).
The South Adams Schools Corporation moved forward with the sale of the former elementary school property, located at the corner of US 27 and SR 218 in Berne, when a purchase and sale agreement was signed at this week's board meeting.
A bid of $747,300 was accepted at the end of March from CDI Development Services, LLC, which was the only bid received.
