Two children were killed and four people were seriously injured in a vehicle-buggy crash Tuesday just before 8 a.m.
The Adams County Sheriff's Department reported that Chandler M. Gerber, 21, of Bluffton, was traveling east on U.S. 124 near 400 E when he struck an Amish buggy driven by Mary M. Schwartz, 44, of Decatur.
The process to select a North Adams Board of Education member essentially is starting all over again after Decatur City Council on Tuesday deadlocked over its appointment, the final one the city will make before the board becomes one that is elected.

Skillman, who visited Berne in 2005 to discuss the city's plans for the tower, stated that she was very impressed with the new tower and the ambition with which the city approached the project.
