Andy’s Coney Bar will hold a fundraiser from 6-10 p.m. this Friday at the Knights of Columbus Pavilion, 1703 High St., Decatur.
Employees of Andy’s, which opened in Decatur a little over a year ago, will be serving coney dogs, chili and old-fashioned root beer on Friday. Also planned, organizers said, are sales of cotton candy, children’s activities, a silent auction, raffles and more.
Super Bowl memorabilia will be available for the auction.
Former Adams County commissioner Steve Baumann has announced his candidacy for the District 1 seat on the board of commissioners. His candidacy sets up a Republican primary in May against incumbent commissioner Kim Fruechte, who had previously filed for re-election.
Baumann served as county commissioner from 1997 through 2008. He lost a primary race to Fruechte in 2008.
Adams Central Elementary School held a "sport day" on Wednesday as part of a series of Relay for Life fundraising events.
School officials said students and staff were able to wear any sports apparel, with students paying 50 cents and staff $1 for the privilege.
Proceeds go to the Adams County Relay for Life.
