Decatur's downtown flower program is in dire jeopardy.
Faced with a huge deficit, the program may not get off the ground next year unless necessary cash is raised relatively soon.

Spotlight, Decatur’s annual community and business expo, will be held this year at Bellmont Middle School on Saturday, March 9, from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., organizers have announced.

This will be the 17th consecutive year for the event.

This is nearly $385,000 higher that what the hospital had at the end of October in 2011, but nearly $56,000 less than what had been budgeted for the year.
