Roe Acres could be in and the Bobo area may be out of the target area for a proposed $4.5 million sewer project to serve the rural areas of northern Adams County.
That was the tenor at a Wednesday evening meeting of the Adams County Regional Sewer District board as members outlined the need to get "the best bang for our buck" as the project inches toward its final configuration.
After failing to pass personnel cutbacks last month in an effort to help the school meet the budget, Adams Central's Board if Education on Tuesday passed a motion granting a pay increase to non-teaching staff at the school, beginning the first of January .
The raise, which will affect custodians, bus drivers, and cafeteria workers to name a few, is approximately 2.5 percent, according to Superintendent Mike Pettibone.
The North Adams school board on Tuesday approved the purchase of an East Monroe Street property that school officials said eventually will allow opportunities for greater ingress and egress to the school complex.
