Decatur and Adams County, along with northern Indiana, are under a winter storm warning. At 1 p.m Thursday, the National Weather Service updated its warning with the following information:
A wintery mix of sleet and snow is expected to begin about 7 p.m. Thursday.
As the storm continues, freezing rain and sleet are expected south of a line that roughly falls through Bluffton and Decatur in Indiana and Van Wert in Ohio.
The Bellmont Squaws received their state championship rings Wednesday night at halftime of the boys basketball game.
Players, coaches and other members of the team were awarded rings. The Squaws won the 3A volleyball championship last fall, the team's second state crown in three years.
The Boys and Girls Club of Adams County on Wednesday kicked off its 2011 fundraising campaign with meetings in Decatur and Berne.
According to campaign chairman Ron Dull, this year's goal is to raise $150,000 for operation of the north and south county branches of the Boys and Girls Clubs, with sites in Decatur and Berne.
