Julia W. Banta, 89, of Geneva, died Sunday in Adams Memorial Hospital.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva.
Mary E. Fiechter, 76, of rural Berne, died on Saturday at home.
She was born to Theo and Naoma Speheger Beer.
Among survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Kris (Ann) Frauhiger of Montpelier and four sons: Don and Lynn Fiechter of Keystone; Rick Fiechter of Montpelier; and Jim Fiechter of Bluffton.
Howard E. Hess, 69, of Willshire, Ohio, died at 12:43 p.m. Saturday in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Wayne following an accident at his residence on Friday.
He was born to Robert E. and Ida L. McClish Hess.
He married Judith C. Miller and she survives.
Paul S. Liechty, 93, of Berne, passed away on July 22 at Swiss Village Retirement Community.
He was born on November 17, 1917, in Adams County to Albert W. and Ida Moser Liechty.
Paul taught for four years in Union City, Indiana, and for 30 years in elementary schools at Decatur. He graduated from Goshen College in Indiana with a bachelor's degree in education and received a master's degree in education and a specialist degree in education from Ball State University at Muncie.
Audra E. Miller, 88, of Decatur, widow of Rev. Fuhrman Miller, died today in the nursing center at Woodcrest Retirement Community.

S. Sue Snyder, 74, of Berne, died Friday in Lutheran Hospital at Fort Wayne.
She was born to Ivan and Maude Montgomery.
Among survivors are a daughter, Kendra Bauman of Berne, and a son, Clay Snyder of Berne.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in Downing and Glancy Funeral Home, Geneva, with private burial at Gravel Hill Cemetery, rural Bryant. Visiting hours are 1-3 p.m. today.
Paperwork must be turned into coaches or to the athletic departments before varsity athletes will be able to participate in fall practices, it was noted by area athletic directors. Golf practices begin today while most of the rest of the fall sports will begin with officials practices on Monday, Aug. 1.

Glenn R. "Butch" Griner, 64, of rural Rockford, Ohio, died Wednesday at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
He was born on May 2, 1947, in St. Marys, Ohio, to Walter and Beatrice Huston Griner, who are deceased.
On May 30, 1966, he married Jane Harris, who lives in Rockford.
Three "yes" votes, one abstention, and one absence on Thursday night at a special meeting of the North Adams school board saw a two-year contract with the North Adams Teachers' Association (NATA) approved.
