The Geneva Plan Commission met Tuesday evening to discuss a petition filed on behalf of Red Gold for an variance to the town’s zoning ordinance and approval of a development plan for a major warehouse expansion for the nation’s largest privately held tomato processing company.

The Decatur resident, who admits she is not a regular Hoosier Lottery player, struck it big when she won $1 million in the March 19 Powerball drawing. She said she was oblivious to all the speculation in town about who had the winning ticket and, in fact, held her ticket for a week before checking it.
Ann A. Bieberich, 75, Decatur, passed away Monday afternoon at her residence unexpectedly.
Ann was born Thursday, Aug. 4, 1938, in Allen County, the daughter of the late Romey and Treva (Barkley) Ruble.
She married Donald L. Bieberich July 6, 1957, at Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur; he passed away April 6, 2009.
Ann was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Decatur.
Joanne M. Cole, 76, (Joanne Marie Margaret Warren Cole — you’re here now!), Decatur, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Joanne was born April 29, 1937, in Holyoke, Mass., to Arthur and Madalyn (Howe) Warren.
She was formerly married to Roger Cole for 25 years.
Bonnie E. Frantz, 78, Eloy, Ariz. and Bluffton, died March 15, 2014, at Hospice Family Care in Casa Grande, Ariz.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Poneto Baptist Church with Pastor Alan Crull officiating. Visitation hours are 10-11 a.m., with services at 11 a.m.
Mrs. Frantz was born March 17, 1935, in Berne, to Beryl and Florence Harman. On Sept. 3, 1969, she married the love of her life, Larry Frantz Sr., who passed away January 25, 2012.
Marjorie June Grove, 87, Bluffton, passed away at 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, 2014, at her residence.
June was born June 13, 1926, in Sulphur Springs, to George and Virginia (DeHart) Hunt.
She graduated from Peru High School in 1944 and from Ball State Teachers College in 1948 with a Bachelor of Science degree in English. She graduated with a double major in English and history.
June married Donald Jean Grove Dec. 31, 1949, in Peru. He preceded her in death in October of 1995.
