Pauline Rose Via, 94, of Portland, died Saturday in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare.
She was born in Salamonia on December 10, 1917, to the late Jesse and Cora (May) Locker.
Surviving are two sons, Danny Via (Janice) of Clarksville, Tenn., and Dennis Via of Decatur; and one daughter, Linda (Bill) Zimmerman of Portland.
Rosa L. Wengerd, 62, of Bryant, died on Saturday at Lutheran Hospital.
She was born on Tuesday, September 20, 1949, in Adams County.
BERNE—Bellmont dominated the winner's stand Friday night in the girls portion of the South Adams Track Invitational but it was the depth of the Norwell girls that gave the Knights a 130-105 win over the Squaws in a nine-team field.
Bellmont swept eight of the 15 events on the night and in the process of doing so set one new and tied one Bellmont school record, and shattered four SA Invitational marks.
BERNE—The Lady Starfires continue to improve this season as their win total is now three times higher than last year's season mark.

Ruth Mae (McClure) Rupp, 94, a resident of Woodcrest Nursing Center for the past 9 and a half years, passed away on April 20, 2012.
A memorial service will be held at at 1 p.m. Sunday at Woodcrest in the Porter Auditorium for Ruth Mae (McClure) Rupp, 94, who died April 20. Rev. Floyd Vieth will be officiating.

In observance of the National Day of Prayer, more than 50 Adams County community members, pastors and leaders gathered at Peace Monument on the Decatur courthouse square at noon on Thursday to participate in a prayer service organized by the Decatur Ministerial Association.

Officials of the Decatur law firm of DeVoss, Johnson, Zwick, Baker & Ainsworth along with the family of the late Berne attorney Bob Biberstein have announced that the DeVoss firm will continue serving Biberstein clients, including the establishment of office hours in Berne.
Biberstein, a longtime Berne attorney, suffered a stroke on January 25 of this year and subsequently suffered a fatal heart attack on March 21
Mona A. Scott Sell, 63, of Bryant, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at her residence.
