Bellmont volleyball opened up their season on Tuesday night with a three-set shellacking of the Bishop Dwenger Saints at the Teepee, 25-16, 25-6, 25-16.
The Squaws seemed a bit flat on the service return and fell behind 3-0 early before a missed serve gave them their first point. Senior Janaya Wilder had back-to-back kill blocks at the net to tie the game at 3-3 but Dwenger kept the Squaws on their heels through the first half of the set.
Today's print edition of the Decatur Daily Democrat will not arrive until late afternoon due to maintenance issues at the printing facility. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
