Peter J. Minnich, 64, Berne, passed away Saturday, Dec. 13,2014, at his home.
He was born to Urban and Helena(Welsch) Minnich on Oct. 14, 1950 in Portland.
Peter was a member of the St. Marys of the Presentation Church, Geneva, and a graduate of Purdue University. He was owner of the Edelweiss Floral & Gift Shop in Berne for 35 years. Peter was a very talented and creative florist as he displayed his floral arrangements. His interests included his love for animals, gardening, and traveling.
Edward F. “Ed” Sprunger, 89, of Decatur, met his Heavenly Father, on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
Ed was born on March 20, 1925, in Adams County to the late Martin F. and Cora (Mertz) Sprunger. On May 6, 1953. he married Marilyn R. Norton.
Ed was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church and was chairman of the trustees and held many offices at the church.

Karel Louise (Thieme) Dailey, 74, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014. She was born in Decatur to Harold and Alma Thieme.
She was a lifelong Lutheran and a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne.
Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2010 she stayed strong in her faith and drew strength from the knowledge that God was always there for her and never left her side.
Doris D. Hart, 89, of Decatur, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Adams Memorial Hospital. She was born in Adams County May 9, 1925, to the late Arthur M. and Olive P. (Wagers) DeArmond. On Nov. 15, 1946, she married Gerald H. Hart; he preceded her in death Sept. 7, 2002.
She attended Cornerstone Community Church and worked as a homemaker.
Charles E. Wendel, 61, Decatur, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014, at Adams Memorial Hospital. Charles was born in Decatur Sept. 1, 1953, to the late John L. and Leah M. (Richard) Wendel.
Charles formerly attended St. Paul United Church of Christ in Rockford, Ohio. He was engaged in farming and enjoyed truck driving and transporting Amish. He also enjoyed playing cards, hunting and spending time with family and friends.
The Adams County Carnegie Library is a historic structure, and while its present condition may not be pristine, it is nonetheless worth saving from demolition, a group of about two dozen local residents agreed at the second public meeting of the Friends of the Carnegie Library Thursday night at Riverside Center.
Officials with the Adams County Regional Sewer District board are hopeful bids will be taken in February for construction of the county’s first-ever rural sewer collection system.
The new year is just around the corner, and Adams Central Community Schools’ board of education will find that with the new year will come a new board member. Board member Dave Fox will resign from the board effective Dec. 31. The board has 30 days from that date to fill the vacancy. If no district resident submits an application, the seat will be filled through an appointment by Adams County Circuit Court Judge Chad Kukelhan.
