Flood report rules out new jail on property owned by Porter

July 1, 2014

And it’s back to square one.
On the recommendation of Maumee River Basin Commission Executive Director Rodney Renkenberger, the Adams County Commissioners officially eliminated a 22-acre tract of land south of Decatur offered by the Porter Family Foundation as a viable site for the construction of the proposed Adams County Jail. The rejection came during their weekly meeting Monday afternoon in the Service Complex.

Goulet nabs 7th County Tourney

July 1, 2014

Bob Goulet captured the 2014 Adams County Golf Championship over the weekend shooting a 71 at the Golf Club of the Limberlost in Geneva on Saturday, then a 76 on Sunday at Cross Creek Golf Club.
The win, his seventh Adams County crown ('95, '96, '98, '01, '02, '12, '14), was an especially sweet victory as Bob has only recently recovered from several surgeries in the past two years and because of health reasons missed playing in the Adams County tournament 2013.
