This dog nearly passes out from excitement after seeing one of his owners for the first time in nearly two years.
Amos E. Miller, Jr., 75, Bluffton, passed away at 2:08 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2104, at River Terrace Estates.
He was born Aug. 19, 1938, in Bluffton to the late Amos E. and Olive L. Miller, Sr.
Amos worked at Fleetwood Industries, Decatur, from 1974-2009, retiring with 35 years of service. He was an avid gun collector, outdoorsman and hunter.
He graduated from Petroleum High School. Amos was a member of Petroleum Methodist Church and the Moose Lodge.
The Indiana State Police is investigating a single vehicle crash that occurred Sunday that fatally injured a Decatur woman and hospitalized four others.
A brief but intense summer thunderstorm carrying extremely high winds and heavy rainfall passed through the Willshire area shortly before noon Sunday, leaving several area residents without electrical service for as much as four hours.
The Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office reported no serious damage as a result of the storm, although an AEP power line was downed across Ohio 81 just east of Willshire. Evidence of wind damage to area corn fields was also present.
