The Niswonger Performing Arts Center in Van Wert, Ohio, on Tuesday evening welcomed the State Ballet Theatre of Russia in its classical telling of “Cinderella.”
The story line follows a poor, orphaned child who lives with her two step-sisters, Skinny and Plump, and a step-mother. Cinderella is portrayed as a giving, kind-hearted young lady who took an old beggar woman off the streets and mended her with food and water.

An updated website for the City of Decatur’s storm water department was unveiled at Tuesday night’s city council meeting, and City Engineer Nate Rumschlag is hopeful it will spur citizens to report illicit discharges.
“(To halt) the illegal dumping and spills is why the storm water department was created,” Rumschlag told council.
The Bellmont swimming and diving teams split with visiting DeKalb on Tuesday night at home as the Squaws handled the Lady Barons 127-49 and the Braves' contest was left unresolved at a 91-91 tie.
The BHS girls took first and second place in all three relays.
Senior Sarah Evans had two first place finishes in the 50 freestyle and 100 butterfly. Other firsts for Bellmont included Rachel Klingensmith, Oliva Hamilton, Mae Baczynski, Reagan Burry, Hannah Myers and Allyson Norby in diving.
