Taxes and marriage, two of the Indiana Republican Party’s favorite subjects, predictably took center stage Saturday morning as the two GOP lawmakers who represent Adams County held a town hall-style meeting in Decatur.
The Adams County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its annual meeting Jan. 30 at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1703 High St., Decatur. Described as an “Ag Extravaganza,” the event will once again be a joint meeting with the Adams County Pork Producers Association and the Adams County Farm Bureau, who will conduct their regular business meetings at the event.
While reports of influenza cases are increasing at a rapid pace throughout Indiana, Adams County thus far has seen no cases.
According to Adams County Memorial Hospital Infection Preventionist Liz Fisher, “The flu is where we expect it to be this time of year. Christmas time means lots of get-togethers and nobody wants to miss Christmas, thus the flu spreads quickly and many people come in with symptoms following the holidays.”
