    With the third round complete, just 16 teams remain and many brackets have been left in shambles after a big week for upsets. Below is a breakdown of the brackets by score followed by the top 100 brackets by name.

    New season, S.O.S. — same old stuff!
    Spring has arrived but nothing has really changed in the Decatur area and most of Indiana. It's still cold and the snowstorms keep coming.
    The latest, which moved into this area late Sunday night, dumped four inches of snow on Decatur by 7 a.m., and light snow was continuing to fall after that reading.
    The winter storm had less effect than usual since all Adams and Wells county schools are closed for spring break.

Shaffer fire ruled accident

    Decatur Assistant Fire Chief Jim Hitchcock said Friday that an investigation into Tuesday's fire at Shaffer Investment Auto has determined that the cause was accidental.
    Hitchcock, chief investigator for the local department, said the state fire marshal's office participated in what Hitchcock said was a "thorough investigation."

Eichhorn to make court appearance on Tuesday

    Former Decatur Storm Water Management Director Joan Eichhorn is scheduled to make her first court appearance at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday in Adams Circuit Court.    
    Eichhorn was indicted last week by an Adams County grand jury on charges of theft and fraud for alleged incidents that occurred in late 2011.
    The incidents involve an alleged fraudulent website set up to allegedly allow Eichhorn a trip to Florida at city expense.

Samuel W. Hilty

    Samuel W. Hilty, four and a half months, son of Willis S. and Elizabeth A. E. (Graber) Hilty, died Friday, March 22, 2013.
    Among survivors are four brothers, Reuben W., Willis W., Melvin W., and Alvin W.; grandparents, Alvin M. and Esther Graber, and Samuel S., Jr., and Laura Hilty; great-grandparents, Elizabeth E. Graber, Chris J. and Mary J. Graber, Amanda A. Shetler, and Samuel L. and Mary Jane Hilty.

Richard L. Bleeke

    Richard L. Bleeke, 77, of Decatur, died Friday, March 22, 2013 at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    Among survivors are wife, Lois J. Bleeke of Decatur; three sons, Cory A. Bleeke of Decatur, Daniel W. Bleeke of Denver, Colo., and William J. Bleeke of Paradise, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Monday, March 25, at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home.

      After an upset-stacked second round of the NCAA tournament, the most games correctly guessed out of a possible 32 was Garrett Fuelling's 26 out of 32. Looking towards the future rounds, Garrett has all of his Final Four teams intact and seven of eight Elite Eight teams.

      The lowest score was 17 but with the amount of upsets it's still anyone's contest. Below is a breakdown of the brackets by score and then a list of the top brackets as of Saturday morning.

Four Jets, two Stars named to All-ACAC boys teams

    Earlier this month, the Allen County Athletic Conference revealed its two all-conference teams for the 2012-13 boys basketball season.
    Four Jets and a pair of Starfires were named to the two conference teams, while Bluffton and Leo lead the way with three players each on the first team. Heritage had two players on the first team as well with Garrett, Southern Wells, and Woodlan netting just one player.
