Michael D. Lemmon, 48, of Fort Wayne, departed his earthly home Monday, April 15, 2013, at Lutheran Hospital following a brief illness.
Michael was a lifelong Fort Wayne resident, Northrop High School graduate, and IUPU graduate. He was a 19-year employee of Press-Seal Gasket Corporation of Fort Wayne. He was an extrusion operator. Michael loved video gaming, was a lover of Christ, and of Christian music. He was the most kind and loving man, husband and father.
Dora R. "Becky" (Burgess) Tarkington, 81, of Berne, formerly of Geneva, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Swiss Village in Berne.
Becky was born Saturday, January 2, 1932, in Huntertown, Ind., to the late Harlow C. Hart and Pearl Eash-Hart-Shaver.
She worked for the Berne Police Department as a dispatcher and had also worked as a bookkeeper for the Adams Co. Highway Dept.

The long-awaited demolition of the former city street department garage got under way early this morning.

Maxine R. Lehman, 91, Berne, passed away Monday morning, April 15, 2013, at Swiss Village.
Maxine was born to the late Gilbert and Minnie (Depp) Stucky on September 20, 1921, in Adams County.
She married Roger "Pete" Augsburger, who died in 1972, and Wilmer "Cy" Lehman, who died in 2006.

The city's annual Fourth of July fireworks came up at last night's city council meeting, as did another warm-weather (mostly) event: the Farmers Market.
The popular weekly market is likely to get another new home, its fourth, the First St. parking lot, and a new supervisor, Chad Hunter.
Wes Kuntzman, director of the Chamber of Commerce, which hosts the event, introduced Hunter to council, then put forth some plans for this year's market, again to be held Thursday afternoons, starting June 6.
