Bluffton @ Bellmont, volleyball broadcast

September 30, 2013

   Tonight's home volleyball broadcast between the Bluffton Tigers and the Bellmont Squaws will begin with a pre-game at 6:15 p.m. The gamecast will continue with a varsity contest around 7-7:15 p.m. To view the contest click on the link below, then log in with a username and password. Enjoy the free service. Tomorrow's game against Norwell (senior night) will also be seen on the broadcast. 

 

Alice McClure

    Alice Jeanne McClure, 92, of Decatur, died Sept. 27, 2013 in the Woodcrest Nursing Center located in Decatur.
    Alice was born on Wednesday, Sept. 21, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Henry and Catherine (Toohey) Weichman. She married the late John H. McClure on May 9, 1942 in Des Moines and he passed away on Oct. 11, 2006.

Roger D. Miller

September 30, 2013

   Roger Dean Miller, 71, of Berne, passed away on Sept. 27, 2013 at Swiss Village. He was born May 6, 1942 to Maurice and Edith (Habegger) Miller.
    He graduated from Berne-French High School and was in a computer programmer training program established for disabled individuals by IBM in Indianapolis. He retired from IBM at Lincoln Life as an Information Technology Specialist. Roger also worked for Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, Mutual Security Life Company and E.P. Graphics in Berne.

Monument’s history laid out

    Although formal re-dedication ceremonies marking the 100th anniversary of the Adams County Peace Monument were held last month during the annual Kekionga Festival, the true century mark from the monument’s initial dedication will not take place for another month, on Oct. 30.

Willis moves on to golf state

    KENDALLVILLE — South Adams' Sydney Willis advanced to this Friday's state golf tournament at the Legends Golf Club in Franklin with the third place finish at East Noble's regionals over the weekend.
    Participating with the SA sophomore at Noble Hawk Golf Course was the entire Bellmont team after qualifying for regionals with a second place finish in the Norwell sectional. The Squaws finished 10th place with a team score of 362 missing the cut for state as a team.
