   Tamara L. Miller, 54, Decatur, passed away at 7:15 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
    She was born in Decatur on Sunday, Feb. 8, 1959, to the late Robert Roebuck and Jane (Dick) Roebuck-DeRoo; her mother survives.
    Tamara had been a CNA at Woodcrest Nursing Center for 11 years.

Sarah Robinson

    Sarah Margolis Ketron Robinson, 70, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.
    She was born in Dayton, Ky., on April 10, 1943, to the late Frank Ketron and Frances Glass Cummings.
    Sarah attended New Life Fellowship Church.

John L. Scheimann

September 17, 2013

    John L. Scheimann, 82, of Mission, Texas, passed away on Sept. 11, 2013, in Brownsville, Texas.
    John was born on May 6, 1931 to the late John and Margaret (Elliott) Scheimann. He married Lois Kitchen on Oct. 5, 1957. She survives in Mission.
    John served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated J & L Trucking in McAllen, Texas, and was still actively involved until shortly before his passing. He resided in Decatur for many years.

Congrats to the top three who each win prizes including the winner, Doug Anweiler, who did not miss a game this week, as well as harley Hilty and Jack Macklin. Ties were settled based on the tie-breaker score, which was 92 points.

Bomb threat evacuates Bluffton HS

    Two Bluffton High School students were taken into police custody Monday after officials believe they left a note in a restroom warning of a bomb in the school earlier that morning.
    Bluffton Police Chief Tammy Schaffer said her department received a call from school officials at 9:50 a.m. Monday saying there was a bomb threat at the school. The warning was delivered via a note found in a school bathroom.

    A deadly shooting in the heart of the nation’s capital has reignited talk about guns, but it’s uncertain whether the tragedy will revive a legislative debate that has gone cold in the face of opposition from Second Amendment supporters.
    The case for increased gun control has become increasingly difficult, evidenced by the National Rifle Association-backed recall of two Colorado legislators who supported stricter laws and President Barack Obama’s powerlessness to pass his legislation.

Blackhawk dismisses Lady Stars despite third set effort

    FORT WAYNE—The young Lady Starfires fell on the road Monday night to a fundamentally sound Blackhawk Christian in a three-game sweep 25-13, 25-8, 26-24.
    South Adams nabbed the first point of the game on a kill from Cady Farlow but simply looked sleepy after that in the first two sets.
