James R. Hamrick, 55, of Marion, Ind., previously of Decatur, died Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his residence.
Among survivors are his mother, Wanda L Hamrick of Decatur; two brothers, Rick L. Hamrick and Brad D. (Sara Klinetob) Hamrick, both of Decatur and sister, Sheila F. (Randy) Shoaf of Decatur.
Visitation is 6-8 p.m. today at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church.
Glen D. Strahm, 81 of Monroe, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 11, 2013.
Glen was born June 20, 1932, in Adams County to the late Sylvan and Lydia (Brunner) Strahm.
On August 23, 1952, he married Elizabeth "Betsy" Johnston; she survives in Monroe.
Glen was a member of St. Luke Community Church where he was involved as an elder, deacon and trustee. Glen was a farmer and mechanic for Reisen & Smith Chrysler, Walt's Motor Sales and John's Auto Sales.
Mildred R. Steffen, 92, of Decatur, passed away Monday morning at her residence.
Mildred was born February 11, 1921, in Adams County to the late John and Lydia (Gerber) Steffen.
She was a member of Apostolic Christian Church and worked at General Electric in Decatur for 40 years.
Among survivors are her brother, Ralph (Lucinda) Steffen of Bluffton; and two sisters, Violet Steffen and Vergene Reinhard, both of Decatur.
Florence E. Stuckey, 94, of Van Wert, Ohio, died at 9:05 p.m. Saturday, August 10, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
Florence was born March 18, 1919, in Van Wert County to the late Arthur H. and Marie (Schmidgall) Bauer.
She married Charles Graydon Stuckey on April 24, 1946; he preceded her in death on December 9, 1987.
A public hearing will be held during the October 15 meeting of Berne City Council to give local residents the opportunity to comment on the city's proposed 2014 operating budget.
The council on Monday authorized publication of a maximum budget for next year based on an assessed property valuations in the city of $103 million, a figure that is down from $107 million in 2013. The total tax liability for residents next year, based on that number, would be $1.13 per $100 of assessed personal property value.

Local authorities are requesting the public's assistance in providing information concerning a widespread spree of mailbox vandalism overnight Sunday.
On Monday morning, the Adams County Sheriff's Department received numerous reports of damage to mailboxes. Vandals used some type of blunt object and struck the boxes, causing extensive damage, according to Detective Lt. Gary Burkhart of the sheriff's department.
