Amelia R. Loshe, 100, of Decatur, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2013, at River Terrace Estates in Bluffton.
Amelia was born on December 19, 1912, to the late August T. and Ellen M. (Rumschlag) Lengerich in Adams County.
On April 14, 1932, she married Herman P. Loshe; he passed away February 19, 2000.
Amelia was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Harvest House, Women of St. Mary, and Lady of Victory study club.
Colonel (Retired) Michael C. McAdams passed away July 27, 2013.
Col. (Ret.) McAdams was born in Springfield, Mo. He graduated from McCallie School, earning a football scholarship to the Georgia Institute of Technology. Upon graduation as an ROTC Distinguished Military Graduate from Ga. Tech., he was commissioned a Regular Army Second Lieutenant of Artillery with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and Management.
Marjorie L. Meyer, 92 years old, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Adams Memorial Hospital.
Marjorie was born on Sunday, November 7, 1920, in Fort Wayne to the late Albert and Helen (Mailand) Scheumann.
She married Robert C. Meyer on August 4, 1948, in Zion Lutheran Church in Decatur; he passed away on November 16, 2006.
Roy D. Stucky, 88 of Bronson, Mich., formerly of Monroe, died Thursday, July 25, 2013, at the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis.
Roy was born March 7, 1925, in Berne to the late Florenz and Metta (Nussbaum) Stucky.
On March 25, 1945, he married Mary Louise Trump; she preceded him in death on September 14, 2012.
FORT WAYNE—There were over 35 schools present at the sixth annual Northeast Indiana Football Media Day held at North Side High School on Friday afternoon including all three Adams County representatives.
Gathered in the school's cafeteria along side media members of the region, each team was assigned a table. Bellmont's representation was so large that the Carroll Chargers were forced to grab a few straggling chairs from another table to make room.
Gladys Barkley, 106, of Convoy, Ohio, passed away at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at Vancrest of Convoy.
Gladys was born September 29, 1906, in Tully Township, Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Gilbert F. and Rosa Etta (Feasby) Fensler. She was one of eight children.
She married Floyd H. Barkley on May 31, 1928; he preceded her in death on July 4, 1990.

Stephanie and Tim Taylor, parents of the late Spc. Nick Taylor who was killed almost exactly a year ago in Afghanistan, were on hand for opening ceremonies of this year's Swiss Days festival.
The Taylor family, who will will serve as grand marshalls of Saturday night's festival parade, accepted donations from the Swiss Days committee in Nick's memory for the Adams County Community Foundation's Nick Taylor Scholarship Fund, the First Missionary Church New Coats project, and the Care Packages for Soldiers fund.
Limberlost State Historic Site, in collaboration with The Friends of the Limberlost, will celebrate the life and legacy of author, naturalist, photographer and movie producer Gene Stratton-Porter at a special 150th birthday celebration to be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, August 2, at the historic site in Geneva.
The affair is dubbed Geneva’s Geneva. Guests are welcome to dress in time period clothing, the announcement said.
