That "ugly wall," as Mayor John Schultz describes it, may be shedding some of its ugliness one of these days.
The wall in question, of course, is the big one left facing Monroe St. once the Holthouse Drug/Dwayne's Sweeper Shop was demolished several months ago,
The mayor noted at last week's city council meeting that the local Sculpture Tour Committee has asked permission to place some sort of temporary mural on the wall to get it through this year's tour, scheduled for June 8.
The "ugly wall," empty lot and old bank building may be topics posed by city residents tonight as city council and Mayor John Schultz hold a town meeting at 6 at Riverside Center.
All topics are open for discussion, but no decisions will be made, officials said.
This will be the second of four quarterly town hall meetings planned for this year.
