Despite having to pay several large invoices this month described as "once a year charges such as building insurance and malpractice fees," the Adams Memorial Hospital (AMH) still showed a positive balance at the end of the first month of 2013, according to a report issued Wednesday night to members of the Adams Health Network (AHN) Board of Trustees.
The Adams Central High School marching band which marched to the State Finals last year is more than halfway to its $25,000 goal to purchase new uniforms, according to an announcement.
The Band Boosters have converted some donated uniforms from another school into solid black uniforms for the front ensemble (pit) members. Meanwhile, it was noted, the current marching band uniforms are wearing out.
Dave Meyer, head of the county's maintenance department, brought contracts to the county commissioners this week for work at the county courthouse.
He also announced an insurance payment for damage to the courthouse.
