Christina M. Roeder, 37, Decatur, died Dec. 19, 2013, at her residence.
She was born March 24, 1976, in Fort Wayne. Christina married Matthew C. Roeder July 27, 2005; he survives.
Christina was a homemaker.
The National Weather Service office in North Webster is predicting only minor flooding will occur in Adams County as the St. Marys and Wabash Rivers are now expected to crest at levels significantly lower than were forecast earlier in the recently-completed weekend.
The St. Marys River, swollen by 2.3 inches of rain over the weekend and further fueled by melting snow runoff, is expected to crest at 20.0 feet at 7 a.m. Christmas day, according to the revised NWS forecast.
This bald eagle was photographed near Pleasant Mills shortly after noon Sunday. Initially perched in a tree along the banks of the swollen St. Marys River, the eagle took flight as the photographer got a little too close.
Wright Risk Insurers, the insurance carrier for North Adams Community Schools, has approved immediate replacement of the Bellmont High School gymnasium roof that was damaged when high-velocity, straight-line winds passed through the area last month. Work is to be undertaken during the Christmas break.

WOODBURN—Despite holding a one point lead with under two minutes to go in the fourth quarter, three turnovers in the final minute turned out to be the deciding factor as Adams Central fell to the Woodlan Warriors by a score of 54-50 on Friday night.
The Warriors' senior guard Greg White came up big for Woodlan in the final quarter scoring five points and collecting three steals. His two biggest points of the contest came with 7.1 seconds as he connected on two free throws to give the home team a four-point lead.

Decatur City Council’s final meeting of 2013 this week brought about the usual year-end re-appointments, plus one new appointment.
The new appointment saw council naming semi-retired funeral home director Dave Haggard to replace Don Tuszynski on the Board of Zoning Appeals. Tuszynski resigned in November.
“Don has been on a long time and did a nice job for the city; we really appreciate what he did,” Mayor John Schultz said.
Students at St. Joseph Catholic School performed their annual Christmas program Thursday evening, one week after the event was postponed due to inclement weather. Students, many dressed as angels, were on stage to perform the opening number.
Bellmont senior Diego Hutker came oh so close to lifting the upstart Bellmont Braves to sudden victory, turning Carroll's Logan Jester twice, rolling out 10-1 in the decisive 132-pound match Thursday at the Teepee ... but he could not hold off Jester's power half-Nelson in period two and the Chargers scored a second straight dual meet victory over Bellmont, 36-28.
