Decatur Daily Democrat Publisher Ron Storey has announced the newspaper will sponsor the Adams County Bridal Show from noon-4 p.m. on Sunday, February 17, at the Mirage Reception Hall 1640 Winchester St.
Admission to the event will be free and will include area businesses exhibiting their goods and services. From bridal gowns and bridesmaid dresses, tuxedoes, wedding invitations, photographers, floral bouquets and arrangements, cakes and more, it will all be available at the bridal show.
Adams Health Network (AHN) trustees, at their meeting on Wednesday, appointed Nick Nelson, director of support services at the hospital, to be in charge of selling unused or unwanted equipment, vehicles, or buildings that have a value of less than $30,000.
Nancy Manuel, Health and Human Sciences Educator with Purdue Extension, and Deb Mischler, Family Nutrition Program Assistant in Decatur, appeared at the Adams County Commissioners meeting this week to discuss some plans they have to help reduce childhood (and hopefully lifelong) obesity in Adams County.
Helen Nevil, 87, Portland, died Thursday.
