Prison sentences were handed down recently in Adams Circuit Court, including two to Decatur residents.
Wesley A. Lanning, 23, Portland, received prison time after recently pleading guilty in Adams Circuit Court to child molesting.
He was sentenced to four years in prison, with two years suspended, by Judge Fredrick A. Schurger.
Joan Hodle, 86, of Decatur, died Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Woodcrest Nursing Center.
She was born in Wells County on September 20, 1926, to the late Harold S. and Dorothy Elizabeth (Maddox) Nash Sr.
On February 14, 1946, she married Paul N. Hodle; he died on November 13, 1991.
Joan was a member of the Monroe United Brethren Church. She worked for Shaffer Glove Factory and Alma Plastics. She also delivered Fort Wayne newspapers in Monroe for several years.
An anonymous donor recently presented Adams Central with a $10,000 donation meant to be used to help AC families in need, according to Superintendent Mike Pettibone.
Pettibone told the Adams Central Board of Education Tuesday that he is "continually impressed with generosity and compassion of the Monroe community."
Eric R. Mies, 41, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Decatur, died Thursday, October 11, in Cancun, Mexico.

Olive M. Miller, 90, of Decatur, passed away at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, in the Village of Heritage, Monroeville.
She was born in Michigan on Sunday, May 14, 1922, to the late Wilford A. and Gertrude (Burch) Zurbrugg.
Olive married Jerome C. "Jerry" Miller on January 12, 1942, in Fort Wayne; he passed away on December 16, 1979.
Two people have been arrested in connection with a case that resulted in two children being removed from the custody of their parents and a home at 104 S. 11th street being condemned by the Adams County Health Department.
Jason C. Hausauer, 42, and Sondra D. Hausauer, 37, both of Decatur, were arrested Thursday and charged with neglect of a dependent, according to police records.
Ralph J. "Buck" Myers, 86, of Monroeville, passed away early morning on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Village of Heritage, Monroeville.
He was born in Monroeville on Saturday, January 30, 1926, to the late Ralph H. and Miriam M. (Meese) Myers.
Ralph married Irene Kay Andress on June 20, 1948; she survives.
Stephen C. Omlor, 70, of Decatur, died Sunday.

Linda Kay Plasterer, 58, of Decatur, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2012, at her residence.
She was born in Van Wert, Ohio, on December 24, 1953, to the late Gerald A. and Dolores Puckett.
Linda married Thom E. Plasterer in July 1973; he died on April 2, 1990.
Charlotte L. Terrell, 66, of rural Berne passed away at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, October 12, 2012, at the Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Charlotte was born on July 15, 1946, in Berne, Indiana, to Earl J. and Lela (Sharp) Moser. She graduated from Geneva High School with the class of 1964. She was a lifelong resident of Adams County.
