INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Cleaning out the Colts front office may be only the start of the changes in Indianapolis.
Team owner Jim Irsay fired team vice chairman Bill Polian and his son, Chris, the Colts’ general manager on Monday. He said there was a good chance coach Jim Caldwell will be back next season, but his evaluation was not over.
Adams County was placed under a travel advisory at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
A travel advisory, according to the Indiana Uniform Travel Alert, means that routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
Road conditions appeared to be deteriorating, especially in the southern half of the county.
Due to high phone call volumes for Dr. Crystal Jencks and Dr. Jessamine Hippensteel of Adams Memorial Hospital’s Decatur Family Medicine Clinic, hospital officials have reported an additional phone line has been added to help with communication between the office staff and their patients.
The new telephone number is 301-3641, which will work along with the original 728-3843 number.
Services will be held Tuesday in Van Wert for a 21-year-old Decatur man who died Friday from injuries suffered December 24 when struck by a vehicle as he crossed 13th St.
Brandon A. Heath died early Friday afternoon in Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, six days after being hit while crossing across 13th St. at night.

Brandon A. Heath, 21, of Decatur, died Friday in Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne of injuries suffered when hit by a car while walking across 13th St. in Decatur on December 24.
He was born to Douglass W. Heath of Van Wert, Ohio, and Cheri Goodwin of Decatur.
Other survivors are one brother, Dustin W. Heath of Celina, Ohio; two stepsisters, Shawna Mergy and Mandi Fuerst of Van Wert; seven grandparents; and three great-grandparents.
Krystene A. Poper 60, of Berne, passed away on Friday December 30, 2011, at Chalet Village Nursing Home.
She was born on February 21, 1951, to the late Larry and Mildred (Backus) Pagley in New Castle, Pa.
Krystene was a clown for Keystone Clowns in Pennsylvania.
Joyle J. Wilson, 91, a resident of Decatur the past six years, but formerly a lifelong resident of Wells County, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday in her residence at Evergreen Court Apartments.
She was born on February 3, 1920, in Wells County to Grover and Ida Vesta Sands Denney.
She married Ralph E. Wilson on January 20, 1940; he passed away on February 14, 2009.
